Confidentiality in online therapy: what's protected, what's stored, what isn't.
If you're considering online sessions but wondering how private they really are, here's a clear, practical answer.
June 18, 2026I'm Laila Eman — a psychologist offering private online sessions for individuals, couples, and families. Confidential, judgment-free, and available wherever you are.
About Laila
I'm Laila Eman, a Pakistan-based psychologist working with clients across the country and abroad. My practice is fully online, which means support reaches you whether you're in Karachi, Kashmir, the diaspora in Dubai, or studying abroad in Toronto.
Over the last few years, I've also been part of a community of more than 30,000 people on social media — many of whom messaged me with the same question: ‘Can we talk privately?’ This website is the answer to that question.
My approach is warm, grounded, and evidence-based. We won't rush. We won't perform. We'll just talk — about what's on your mind, what you've been carrying, and what a small next step could look like.

Words from clients

I had been putting it off for months. Booking with Laila felt like the first time I actually let myself rest. She listened without rushing, and I left the session lighter than I came in.
My husband and I tried couples therapy abroad before, but it never felt cultural. Laila just got us. She didn’t take sides, she didn’t lecture — she just translated us to each other.
I’m a Pakistani student in Toronto. I missed home and didn’t realise how heavy that loneliness had become. One 30-minute session and I had words for what I was feeling.
Reaching out felt scary. The form was simple. WhatsApp confirmation made it feel human. I really appreciated that.
I’m a manager in a tough industry and I had been dismissing my burnout for over a year. Laila gave me practical things to try the same week.
As a mother of two teenagers, I just needed someone to hear me without judging. That’s exactly what this was.
